Grant Olson: “The Frog Galliard” by John Dowland (Friday, Session 3, Level 5 - Advanced, Mountain Dulcimer) 15MD161
John Dowland wrote many beautiful pieces for the lute, which sound great on the dulcimer. Upon request, I have arranged another of his compositions, entitled “The Frog Galliard”. This arrangement is a good challenge for left hand fingering and more complex rhythms. It does make use of the 1+ fret, though only at the end of the song, so don’t let that stop you from joining us.
